NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME TRAINING & ORRIENTATION CENTRE, KERALA
The National Service Scheme Training and Orientation Centre (NSS TOC) was formally instituted by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt. of India for the purpose of training the NSS functionaries in the year 1973. Infact the TOC has a decisive role in shaping the destiny of the Scheme in the State. The TOC is catering to the training needs of the following Universities and Directorates in the state.

The TOC apart from organizing regular Orientation/Refresher training courses to the NSS Programme Officers also conduct courses to College Teachers who are in charge of Population Education, Literacy Programmes etc as and when requested by the government.

Objective
To orient teachers who are inducted into the Scheme as Programme Officers and to develop commitment and sense of purpose in the implementation of the Scheme.

Kerala State (This is the only NSS Training Center in the State which is catering to the training needs of all the 7 Universities and 3 Directorates in the State.)
