MIDDLE LEVEL TRAINING CENTRE (MLTC)- KERALA
Introduction
The Middle Level Training Centre [MLTC] is the only State Level training center in Kerala which imparts training to the supervisors of Integrated Child Development Service (ICDS) scheme in Kerala, Pondicherry and Lakshadweep It was established at Rajagiri College of Social Sciences on 15th of June 1982. The main task of MLTC is to train supervisors of 163 ICDS projects in the State.
Objective
To become a centre unique in training the middle level functionaries of the ICDS scheme for ensuring the holistic development of women and children.

Milestones
The aim of ICDS training is to develop all the functionaries of ICDS into agents of social change. The supervisors after their PSC recruitment are deputed by the government for an initial job-training course and thereafter for refresher courses.

SPECIAL FEATURE
Silver Jubilee Year of MLTC (2007-2008)
The Middle Level Training Center has meticulously planned and chalked out various programmes for the upliftment of the down trodden in the society. To commemorate its existence for over twenty-five years, yearlong events were organized:
Provincial of Rajagiri Province, Rev. Fr. Augustine Thottakara inaugurated the Silver jubilee celebration of MLTC on 31/8/07 at Fr. Alex Hall. The Principal of RCSS, Dr. Joseph I. Injodey presided over the function.
Shri A.M. Yousuf, MLA inaugurated the Valedictory function of the yearlong silver jubilee celebration of MLTC on 9th August 2008. To commemorate the event, a Souvenir ‘Ayanam 2008’ was released and awards and recognitions were given to the Guest faculties who had been associating with the center since last two decades. The staffs of the training center were also recognized. Prior to the public function, a Quiz programme for Adolescent Girls and a seminar on the theme” Anganwadi a community resource center” was conducted.
