PROGRAMMES >> COMMUNITY AID & SPONSORSHIP PROJECT (CASP)

Rajagiri - CASP Sponsorship Project

Incepted in 1975 as a National NGO, CASP aims at:

  • Enabling children, their families and communities to meet their basic needs
  • Enhancing their ability to participate in and benefit from their social environment
  • Promoting the rights and interests of the child.

With the prime objective to protect and uphold the right and dignity of every individual, especially children, CASP, with its experience in the field of Child Sponsorship and Community Development, could significantly improve the quality of life of over 75, 000 children in India.

In 1982 CASP joined hands with Rajagiri College of Social Sciences to promote its services in Kerala, to support more children and communities in need. So far the joint initiative could reachout to 110 Grama Panchayats and 4200 children from all over Kerala directly and through child centered programme 1 Lakh children indirectly.

The Vision

A world in which ALL CHILDREN realize their potential in societies that respect people’s rights and dignity.

The Mission

To improve the quality of life of children, their families and communities by establishing sustainable development processes.

The Motto

  Child as the focus,
     family as the unit
         and community as the milieu of development.

The Strategy

  • to sponsor a child and subsequently involve the entire family;
  • to direct efforts to make the communities self-reliant;
  • to improve their quality of life through programmes for integrated development.

The Approach

To provide assistance to the weakest sections of society by exposition to various skills; to help them develop confidence in their abilities so that they can better their circumstances through their own efforts and make themselves self-reliant.

Here the determination comes true…. CASP brings sunshine and hope for a child’s destructed dreams…
