National Webinar Series on “Information Security and Libraries”,
8th– 10th October, 2020
Department of Library and Information Science and Fr. Moses Library jointly organized a National Webinar Series on “Information Security and Libraries” from 8th– 10th October, 2020. Our webinar had distinguished speakers from reputed universities in India. There were totally 493 registrations. Due to the higher number of registrations we decided to use “Zoom” as a webinar platform. Webinar had 3 sessions, Handled by our three speakers. Dr. Shubhada Nagarkar, Assistant Professor, Department of Library and Information Science, Savitribai Phule Pune, handled the first session on “Publication Ethics and Research Metrics”. Second session of the Webinar Series handled by Dr. Mini Ulanat, Systems Manager, Cochin University of Science and Technology on “Data Security & Libraries”. Third and final session of the webinar Series was handled by Dr. Gopakumar V, University Librarian, Goa University on “Information Security concerns & Open Access Repositories”. The objective of the webinar was achieved. This webinar would help the participants to understand topics like Publication Ethics, Research Metrics, Data Security & Libraries, Information Security concerns, Open Access Repositories etc.
