POOKKALAM AND CORONAM- Pookkalam competition and Onathallu Competition

This year, the coronavirus pandemic had dampened the festive spirit around Onam. JUNIOR SWARAJ of Social Work Department, Rajagiri College of Social Sciences organised two competitions exclusively for the BSW program namely POOKKALAM 2020 & CORONAM. The office bearers of JUNIOR SWARAJ kindly requested the students to send a family picture near the pookkalam in traditional attire and informed them to send it on or before31st of August 2020 before 5pm to juniorswaraj@gmail.com. CORONAM was an online thall competition organised by the JUNIOR SWARAJ for BSW students. The coordinators of the program apprised the students to send in a video to juniorswarj@gmail.com. Irene Elizabeth of BSW 2nd year was the first prize winner for online POOKKALAM competition, second prize was backed by Cherian Paul Johnson and Sreeram K H of BSW 1st year won the third prize & the title of “BEST THALLIST” was backed by Ms Sharon Thomas of BSW first year.
