The Master of Human Resource Management (MHRM) program in Rajagiri College of Social Sciences had its beginnings as a specialization of the Master of Social Work (MSW) program back in 1961. The program became independent and christened as Master of Arts in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations (MA{PM & IR}) in the year 1983, when the College became part of the Mahatma Gandhi University. The program with such a rich legacy, has been a pioneering spirit in the growth of Rajagiri College as an institution of excellence and repute. The MHRM program has since, contributed by providing the industry and academia with enough stalwarts to claim itself as the best non-MBA program for a launch into the Human Resource Management profession. The program was renamed as Master of Human Resource Management (MHRM) in 2001. The Department also offers a Ph.D. program for those who wish to advance the boundaries of research in the field of Human Resource Management.
